Success & Degree

See, these words are different. And there’s a reason for that.

In most countries, having a degree is the norm.

It’s become so important that from a very young age our parents keep telling us that having no degree is a shortcut to failure.

It’s become so important that people are willing to do whatever it takes to graduate, even if they neither like what they study nor intend to work in their industry.

It’s become so important that people realize only years later that they’ve taken the wrong path, suffered from anxiety, and missed opportunities solely because having a degree seemed necessary, not to say mandatory.

Still, these words are different.

Having a degree is neither the safest nor surest way to succeed.

Success is inside ourselves.

As long as we put in the effort, the odds are in our favor.
