Qualities in Disguise
Generosity is a quality, but it shouldn’t be.
Generosity, like many other so-called qualities, should be commonplace, and innate.
Qualities are, in essence, positive traits of personality and behavior that are not present in every person.
But shouldn’t generosity be a trait of each of us? What about tolerance? Open-mindedness? Kindness?
To this day, I’m still appalled.
It looks like natural and positive personality traits have become so scarce that we call them qualities.
Don’t get me wrong.
I love generous, kind, and nice open-minded people.
Yet I believe there should be a common sense of what’s positive, and what’s not.
Or maybe am I just being close-minded.
