Your language tells a lot about your culture and the way people live and interact with one another in your country.

For instance:

– Do you have many words to express how much you like things and people?

– Do you have many words to express how much you hate something?

– How do you say sorry? Is it something like “excuse me”, or like “Will you accept my excuses?”?

– Do you have many words and expressions to curse? Are they complete savage?

Try to answer all these questions.

Then compare your language with another one that you know.

Can you spot the difference? Can you better understand the culture that’s attached to this language?

It’s absolutely incredible and wonderful how the language enables us to better comprehend others’ culture.
