Faded Rules

Rules only exist in our minds.

Obviously, not playing by the rules will put us in trouble, because most people know the rules and what to do in case a member of the community does anything that’s strictly forbidden.

But still, rules are a creation of our imagination.

When a murderer decides to kill somebody, he temporarily goes over the rules.

When a robber steals money, he temporarily goes over the rules.

When a contract that’s unwritten is broken, so are the rules.

That’s why we’ve put so much effort into creating written rules associated with written punishments in case things don’t go as planned.

So far so good.

If you find yourself tied by a contract that’s neither written nor signed, there’s no rule to abide by.

Think out of the box, and strive to erase the rules that your mind’s created or simply accepted in spite of logic.
